Artist / Curator /Media Art Lecturer

Since 2000, my research has centred on the evolving landscape of digital media aesthetics, the intersection of media with philosophical paradigms, and visual culture theories focusing on video and collective memory. My work critically examines the radical self-representation of media, exploring its inherent flaws and boundaries as an aesthetic framework, often leading to unexpected outcomes. In recent years, my focus has expanded to include decolonized and feminist perspectives on media.

My artistic works have been showcased internationally, with exhibitions in Italy, the USA, the Netherlands, the UK, Portugal, Russia, France, Ireland, Syria, Bulgaria, Canada, Spain, Argentina, Peru, Sweden, Slovenia, Kazakhstan, and Senegal.

Since 2008, I have been the Director of Visualcontainer, the premier Italian Videoart Platform. My involvement extends to VisualcontainerTV, an International Videoart online Platform launched in 2009, and Visualcontainer[.BOX], a Videoart Project Space and Cultural Research Center in Milan, established in 2010. I have led art direction, curation, and research on audiovisual experimental practices and new media in these roles. I have also designed innovative distribution platforms and collaborated on global cultural exchange programs with international festivals, museums, universities, and diverse art organizations.

I am regularly invited to deliver lectures and presentations on various topics, including video art, new media, audiovisual distribution, and digital media curation.

Since 2014, I have taught Multimedia Languages, Theories of Audiovisual and Mass Media, and Theories of Creative Video Editing at the European Academy of Fine Art of Media (ACME) in Novara, Italy, and at the Academy of Fine Art in Verona, Italy. Additionally, I have been a guest lecturer at numerous universities and academies in Italy and internationally.
